Terms & Privacy
One policy for how this free lookup works, what it stores, and what its results cannot prove.
Last updated: July 23, 2026
Area Code Lookup is a free informational utility. It does not require an account, place advertising cookies, or sell personal information.
Information the tool uses
Lookup text is sent to this site only to return a result. The application does not ask for GPS access, contacts, a phone number owner, or a street address. Recent lookups are stored only in your browser using local storage and can be removed by clearing site data.
Server and network logs
Cloudflare may process ordinary request information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as IP address, request path, browser information, timestamps, and security signals. We do not use that information to identify the owner of a telephone number.
Data accuracy
Area-code status, state or territory, overlay relationships, service type, and in-service dates are derived from the NANPA NPA database. An area code can cover many communities, and a city label is a practical lookup aid rather than proof that a specific number or caller is physically located there.
Acceptable use
You may use the site for lawful informational purposes. Do not interfere with the service, attempt to bypass safeguards, or use automated traffic in a way that degrades access for others.
No warranty
The service is provided “as is.” Numbering plans change, and no result should be treated as emergency, legal, financial, identity, or fraud-verification advice.
